Three ways from the terminal to the centre of Alicante — how each one works, where to find it and where the official fares are published.

There are three ways from Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport to the centre of Alicante: the C-6 bus, which runs to the railway station and the city centre, a taxi from the rank on the arrivals roadway, or a private transfer booked before you fly. Which one suits you depends mostly on your luggage, the time you land and where exactly in Alicante you are staying.
Everything below was checked against Aena, the airport operator, which lists the bus lines and the official taxi service for the airport. Fares are set by the operators and the regional authorities and can change, so the official page for each option is linked underneath it.
Line C-6 runs between the terminal and the centre of Alicante every day of the year, stopping at the railway station and other key points in the city. At the Alfonso X El Sabio and Plaza de los Luceros stops it connects with Alicante’s tram network.
The airport’s official taxi service is run by two companies, Radio Taxi Elche, with 85% of the fleet, and Servitaxi Elche. Official taxis carry a green stripe along the length of the vehicle and the coat of arms of Elche on the front doors, and both companies take bookings on their websites.
Book before you fly and a driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, follows your flight if it is late and takes you straight to your address. The price is fixed per vehicle and paid when you book, so there is nothing to sort out on arrival — the simplest option with children, a lot of luggage or a late landing.
