Porto Airport transfers

Porto airport is north of the city, out at Moreira in the Maia district, and that single fact rearranges the map for most arrivals. The beach towns up the coast, Vila do Conde, Povoa de Varzim and Esposende, are closer to the airport than the city centre is, which is the opposite of what people expect when they book.

The Douro valley runs the other way, inland and east, and a transfer out to the vineyards and the quintas is a proper drive rather than a city hop. Braga and Guimaraes are a third direction again, north-east. In Porto itself the old streets along the river are narrow and often one-way, so give us the street address rather than only the district. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, the price covers the whole vehicle and your luggage and is fixed when you book, and the driver follows your flight.
