Three ways from Rhodes Airport to Rhodes Town — how each one works, where to find it and when the bus runs.

Rhodes Airport lies on the west coast of the island, about 14 km south-west of Rhodes Town, and there are three ways to cover that distance: the municipal bus from the stop between the old and the new terminal, a taxi from the stand in front of Arrivals, or a private transfer booked before you fly. Which one suits you depends mostly on your luggage, the time you land and where exactly you are staying.
Everything below was checked against the airport operator, Fraport Greece, and the Municipality of Rhodes, whose bus company RODA runs the airport buses. Timetables change with the season and the published ones do not show fares, so the official page for each option is linked underneath it.
Buses run between the airport and Rhodes Town. They are operated by RODA, the Municipality of Rhodes’ transport company, which serves the town, its suburbs and the west side of the island; the airport services appear in its west coast timetable as Rodos to Airport and Airport to Rodos.
If you have not booked anything, you can take a taxi straight from the terminal. The airport operator says taxis are available at the airport and puts the taxi stand in front of Arrivals (T1).
Book before you fly and a driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, follows your flight if it is late and takes you straight to your address. The price is fixed per vehicle and paid when you book, so there is nothing to sort out on arrival — the simplest option with children, a lot of luggage or a late landing.
