Three ways from the arrivals hall into Girona — how each one works, where to find it and what the operators actually publish.
Last checked on 16 September 2026
Girona–Costa Brava Airport lies 12.5 km south-west of the city, beside Vilobí d’Onyar, and there are three ways to reach the centre: a Sagalés bus from the stop outside the terminal, a taxi from the official rank, or a private transfer booked before you fly. There is no railway station at the airport — Aena’s pages for getting here cover buses, taxis and car only, so anyone planning to take a train has to reach Girona first.
Everything below was checked against the airport operator, Aena, and against Sagalés, the company that runs the airport bus lines. Fares and timetables belong to those operators and can change, so the official page for each option is linked underneath it. Where an operator does not publish a figure, this guide says so rather than guessing.
Sagalés runs the airport bus lines. Line 607, listed as Girona – Aeroport de Girona, links the airport with Girona bus station, and the same company operates the direct line to Barcelona city centre, which Sagalés says is coordinated with Ryanair arrivals and departures.

Taxis wait at the official airport stand outside the terminal and run on a taximeter for journeys to towns across the province and to Barcelona. It is the quickest option if you have not booked anything before landing.

Book before you fly and a driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, follows your flight if it lands late and takes you to your address in Girona. The price is fixed per vehicle, taxes included, and it is paid online when you book, so nothing changes hands in the car. You can cancel up to 24 hours before pickup for a 90% refund — the simplest option with children, heavy luggage or a late landing.
from €62.50 per vehicle, taxes included
