Gran Canaria Airport to Las Palmas: bus, taxi or transfer
Three ways from the arrivals hall to Las Palmas — how each one works, where to find it and what it costs.

There are three ways from Gran Canaria Airport to Las Palmas: Global bus line 60, which runs directly between the airport and the city, a taxi from the rank outside the terminal, or a private transfer booked before you fly. Which one suits you depends mostly on your luggage, the time you land and where in Las Palmas you are staying.
Everything below was checked against Aena, the airport operator, and Global, the island’s bus company. Fares and timetables can change, so the official page for each option is linked underneath it.
Global bus line 60
Global, the island’s bus company, runs line 60 directly between the airport and Las Palmas. Leaving the airport, it calls at San Cristóbal, Teatro Pérez Galdós, San Telmo bus station, Juan XXIII and Alcaravaneras before ending at Santa Catalina.
- Where to find it
- At the bus stop on Floor 1 (Departures) of the terminal.
- Fare
- A single journey between the airport and San Telmo station costs €2.30; to the Santa Catalina interchange it is €2.95.
- How to pay
- Pay on board in cash, with a debit or credit bank card, or with a card stored on a contactless (NFC) phone — every bus in the Global fleet has a card terminal.
- Timetable
- Buses run every day. From the airport, the first leaves at 6:15, with two buses an hour until 20:15 and the last departures at 21:15, 22:15 and 23:15. The full timetable is on Global’s line 60 page (linked below).
- Best for
- Light luggage, and a hotel near San Telmo, Alcaravaneras or Santa Catalina.
- Good to know
- The airport operator also lists lines 1, 5, 11 and 91 as serving Las Palmas (San Telmo) for the same €2.30 fare. The bus information line is +34 928 252 630.
Taxi
Taxis wait at the signed rank in the outdoor area on Floor 0 of the terminal. The airport operator advises always taking a taxi from that rank and avoiding drivers who offer rides anywhere else, and it publishes the taxi fares on its website.

- Fare
- Aena lists a flag fall of €3.85 by day (6:00 to 22:00) and €4.25 at night (22:00 to 6:00) and on public holidays, then €1.35 per km by day and €1.55 per km at night and on holidays. The airport supplement is €2.10, and waiting or stopped time costs €18.50 per hour.
- How to pay
- The airport does not publish payment methods for taxis. Ask the driver before you set off whether you can pay by card.
- Best for
- Going straight to your address when you have not booked ahead.
- Good to know
- Ask for a receipt — the airport advises it in case of any complaint. On 24 and 31 December and 5 January, from 22:00 until midnight the following day, the flag fall is €6.54 and the rate €1.55 per km.

- Can I get from the airport to Playa del Inglés or Puerto Rico by bus?
- Yes. The airport operator lists line 66 to Playa del Inglés (€3.50) and Faro de Maspalomas, and line 91 to Puerto Rico (€5.45), both from the stop on Floor 1 (Departures). With luggage, a private transfer from the airport is usually much simpler.
- What is the easiest option with children or a lot of luggage?
- A pre-booked private transfer or a taxi. With a transfer, the vehicle is chosen in advance for your group and luggage, and the driver waits for you in the arrivals hall.
