Ibiza Airport to Ibiza Town: bus, taxi or transfer
Three ways from the arrivals hall into Ibiza Town — how each one works, where to find it and what it costs.

Ibiza Airport is 7 km south-west of Ibiza Town, and there are three ways in: the AERO3 airport bus, which runs direct between the terminal and the city, a taxi from the signed rank at the terminal, or a private transfer booked before you fly. Which one suits you depends mostly on your luggage, the time you land and where in town you are staying.
Everything below was checked against Aena, the airport operator, and Alsa Ibiza, which runs the island’s buses; the taxi figures are the regulated fares Aena publishes. Fares and timetables can change, so the official page for each option is linked underneath it.
AERO3 airport bus
Alsa Ibiza runs the island’s buses, and the AERO3 line is the one built for this journey. The airport describes it as connecting the city of Ibiza with Ibiza Airport, offering a direct and convenient service between the city centre and the air terminal. Its special airport fare applies between the terminal and the stops from Isidor Macabich to the port.
- Where to find it
- At the bus stop at the terminal. Four other airport lines use it too: AERO1 to San José and San Antonio, AERO2 to Ibiza bus station by way of San Jorge, AERO4 to Santa Eulària, Es Canar and Cala Nova, and AERO5 to Playa d’en Bossa and Ses Figueretes.
- Fare
- On the AERO3, between the airport and the I. Macabich/Port stops, a single ticket costs €3.50 with a card or QR code and €4.90 in cash. The same journey is €1.20 with an Alsa travel card (monedero), or €0.60 on a Silver card.
- How to pay
- Buy tickets on alsaibiza.es, in Alsa’s Mobi4U app, at the Alsa ticket offices at CETIS Eivissa and Sant Antoni bus station, or at the self-service machines across the island.
- Timetable
- Alsa Ibiza publishes the routes and timetables for every AERO line on its own website (linked below); the airport page does not list departure times.
- Best for
- Light luggage, and an address near the line through the centre.
- Good to know
- Two of the airport lines are seasonal: the airport notes that AERO1 and AERO4 are available from 1 April 2026. The bus information number given on the airport’s page is (+34) 971 578 325.
Taxi
Taxis wait at the signed rank at the terminal, and the airport is blunt about where to get one: always take a taxi from that rank and avoid drivers offering services from other points. Fares are regulated, and Aena publishes the full tariff along with the size of the fleet.
- Where to find it
- At the signed taxi rank at the terminal. The airport has a permanent fleet of 69 taxis all year, three of them specially equipped for people with disabilities; from June to September, both inclusive, 70 more are in operation, bringing the total to 139.
- Fare
- The meter charges €1.21 per kilometre by day and €1.47 per kilometre at night or on public holidays, on top of a €4.00 service start supplement and a €2.00 port or airport supplement. A radiotelephone booking adds €1.45.
- How to pay
- The airport does not publish which payment methods its taxis accept. Ask the driver before you set off whether you can pay by card.
- Best for
- Going straight to your address when you have not booked ahead.
- Good to know
- Suitcases and pets are carried free of charge, and the airport advises you to demand a bill in the case of any complaint. If no taxi is at the rank, Radio Taxi de San José can be called on (+34) 971 800 080.
